[Debian 6]ThinkPad x200s resume from suspend problem

Up +1 Down

Hi. I have a thinkpad x200s, and about 20% of the time, on resume from suspend, the screen's backlight won't turn on.So I'm left with a blank screen. I've googled a bunch and I can't find a clear answer. I'm running debian stable.

I try switching to a tty with control-alt-F1 (or whatever), but that doesn't help. I can see the terminal if I shine a strong light on the screen, but the backlight remains off.

The hardware screen brightness controls also do not work.

try this method:~

Start the laptop->Press F1 to log in BIOS-> "Security" option-> Option "Security Chip"->Set the status to be Active instead of "Inactive"->Press F10 to save and then exit->Reboot.
