How to enable Gnome Global Menu in Gnome 3

http://code.google.com/p/gnome2-globalmenu/   the new version of Gnome global menu supports gnome3 now. I installed it but I don't know how to enable it. there is no installation for this version at all. I want to make up the Gnome 3 destop as OS Lion with it .any idea?

once you have installed the global menu successfully,it should works after rebooting.

You can disable it

 

$ dconf-editor

 

org->globalmenu->enable

I am using Archlinux,I installed the globalmenu via yaourt,it works fine.I use MAC lion's wallpaper set +AWN dock too.

As it's supposed to automaticaly be there... If it doesn't show up after installation and a reboot, then that's a bug.

Could you open a terminal and say 'env|grep GTK_MODULES' ?

And run gedit in the terminal.

also press Alt-F2 and type lg. in the Extensions 'tab' see if you can see Global Menu?
