How to enable Gnome Global Menu in Gnome 3
http://code.google.com/p/gnome2-globalmenu/ the new version of Gnome global menu supports gnome3 now. I installed it but I don't know how to enable it. there is no installation for this version at all. I want to make up the Gnome 3 destop as OS Lion with it .any idea?
once you have installed the global menu successfully,it should works after rebooting.
You can disable it
$ dconf-editor
org->globalmenu->enable

As it's supposed to automaticaly be there... If it doesn't show up after installation and a reboot, then that's a bug.
Could you open a terminal and say 'env|grep GTK_MODULES' ?
And run gedit in the terminal.
also press Alt-F2 and type lg. in the Extensions 'tab' see if you can see Global Menu?
