[Ubuntu 11.04]Broadcom wireless card is not working
I have just freshly installed Ubuntu 11.04 ,but have a problem that the Broadcom wireless network card is not working. I checked log and saw following message:~
2011-04-30 10:46:21,891 DEBUG: BroadcomWLHandler enabled(): kmod disabled, bcm43xx: blacklisted, b43: blacklisted, b43legacy: blacklisted
How to fix this ?Thanks in advance.
I have the same wireless network card; i.e. "Broadcom Corporation BCM4311" (possibly your model may be different, which can be determined by "lspci -vvnn | grep 14e4" command in the terminal), and the same problem (no wireless connection, even I cannot see the list of wireless networks) after the 11.04 upgrade.
My problem is solved after removing "bcmwl-kernel-source" by using Synaptic Package Manager, then installing "firmware-b43-installer" and "b43-fwcutter" again by Synaptic Package Manager. After a restart, my wireless network connection works. I hope it solves your problem, too.

I found that one needs to delete the built in driver from the addtional drivers GUI. Can be found in unity by typing driver

good day linuxfloat.org admin discovered your website via yahoo but it was hard to find and I see you could have more visitors because there are not so many comments yet. I have found website which offer to dramatically increase traffic to your site http://xrumerservice.org they claim they managed to get close to 1000 visitors/day using their services you could also get lot more targeted traffic from search engines as you have now. I used their services and got significantly more visitors to my site. Hope this helps :) They offer best backlinks Take care. Jason

I removed the bcmwl-kernel-source pkg fine, but when I go to install the "firmware-b43-installer" I get errors and it says some portions of the pkg failed to install correctly...
any advice?

Uninstall bcmwl-kernel-source and install the drivers from Broadcom site. It works flawless for Broadcom adapters...
